Thrivent Financial named to PINK magazine’s Top 15 Companies for Women
PINK looks at women’s power, pipeline, people and pay at U.S. companies
| MINNEAPOLIS (July 29, 2009) – Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has been selected as one of the Top 15 Companies for Women 2009 by PINK magazine, which is featured in the publication’s latest issue hitting news stands this week. PINK magazine serves America’s more than 65 million professional women and reaches more than two million women every year with a quarterly magazine, online community, daily e-Note (Little PINK Book) and national event series.

Thrivent Financial’s Commitment Thrivent Financial’s application included end-of-year data from 2008. At that time, women made up 63 percent of Thrivent Financial’s corporate employee population. Women made up approximately 40 percent of the organization’s executive management team and 45 percent of vice president, managers and supervisors combined. In addition, three women were on Thrivent Financial’s 15-member Board of Directors including Dr. Addie Butler, Alice M. Richter and Adrian Tocklin. Thrivent Financial offers both mentoring and leadership training programs to help individuals learn about their leadership capabilities and development areas and pursue specific, actionable steps for growth as a leader. Female participation in these programs helps provide a pipeline of talent to advance within the organization. Additionally, the organization recently built and implemented a unique career development process and tools for all employees.
