Thrivent Financial names new director, Community Relations
| MINNEAPOLIS (May 20, 2009) – Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has named Stacy Hanley as its new director, Community Relations. Hanley will lead its community relations initiatives in the organization’s headquarters in the Twin Cities and the Operations Center in the Fox Cities, Wis. area, including philanthropy and volunteer programs focused on economic self sufficiency.
Hanley brings more than 20 years of experience to Thrivent Financial and most recently served as senior director of outreach with the University of Minnesota Alumni Association. Prior to that, Hanley held various roles in the community relations and foundation area for Best Buy. She also has held roles with National Public Radio and LifeTime Television. “Stacy brings years of leadership experience to our community relations department,” said Marie Uhrich, senior vice president, Communications. “Giving back to the community is part of the mission of Thrivent Financial and Stacy will play a key role building strategic relationships and programs with nonprofit organizations in the Twin Cities and Fox Cities. In addition, she will continue to help our members and employees find new and innovative ways to give back to the causes which are important to them.” Hanley received degrees from Spring Hill College and DePaul University and is active with several organizations in the Twin Cities community.
