GAMA International honors 32 from Thrivent Financial
Recruiting Specialist Awards recognize company’s success in attracting candidates
| MINNEAPOLIS (April 24, 2009) – Thirty-two professionals with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, a faith-based, not-for-profit financial services organization, recently received the Recruiting Specialist Award from GAMA International for their success in attracting high-quality candidates to join the organization as financial representatives. GAMA International is a worldwide professional association serving field leaders in the insurance and financial services industry.
Award recipients from Thrivent Financial are located in regional financial offices across the country and serve in various capacities including senior partner, partner, launch manager, recruiting manager and recruiting specialist. “Given today’s economic environment, financial professionals are an invaluable resource as more individuals seek professional assistance with their money matters,” said Jackie Hintz, Thrivent Financial vice president of field talent and membership growth. “These awards from GAMA International reinforce the importance that our organization places on building the highest-caliber field force to serve Thrivent Financial members across the country. In addition, it reflects that Thrivent Financial is still a company-of-choice for those looking to build a successful career in the financial services industry.” Thrivent Financial representatives serve Lutherans and their family members by providing financial guidance and solutions to help them achieve their financial goals. In 2008, Thrivent Financial hired more than 640 new full-time financial representatives, and has approximately 2,600 representatives nationwide. The organization consistently maintains above industry-level retention rates for financial representatives, making it one of the strongest financial services career organizations (2007 LIMRA APS report). For example, in 2008, Thrivent Financial attained an 84 percent retention rate of first-year financial representatives as compared to the industry average of 68 percent. Recruitment of financial representatives is part of Thrivent Financial’s commitment to further strengthen its service to its current base of approximately 2.6 million members.
