Growth at Thrivent Financial Bank triggers expansion to downtown Appleton
Approximately 100 bank employees relocating to City Center East
| APPLETON, Wis. (Aug. 18, 2008) – Even during these tough economic times, Thrivent Financial Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, is experiencing significant success. Thrivent Financial Bank has achieved 43 percent growth in assets over the past five years, bringing total assets as of June 30 to $503.7 million. In addition, total loans from Thrivent Financial Bank have increased 74.9 percent since 2003, including 11 percent in the first six months of 2008.
To accommodate this growth and the need for additional space, Thrivent Financial Bank is relocating 100 employees to the City Center East office building located at 122 E. College Ave. in downtown Appleton. The new space will allow for 30 percent more room to meet future needs of the organization. Currently, bank employees are located at the branch on Milestone Drive in Appleton and the Thrivent Financial Ballard Operations Center. The transition to City Center East is expected to take place Sept. 15. “Our growth is a testament to our principle of stewardship and the trust our clients put in us,” said Todd Sipe, Thrivent Financial Bank president and chief executive officer. “Due to our growth, we are thrilled to be expanding Thrivent Financial Bank with an additional location in the Fox Cities.” Thrivent Financial Bank operations and trust staff will be located in City Center East. Clients will have access to trust and investment services at the new location. Other branch services for clients will not be available at the downtown location at this time. Tellers, lobby, drive-through and ATM services will continue at Thrivent Financial Bank’s current location on Milestone Drive near Ballard Road.
