Southwest Wisconsin regional financial office earns two honors for excellence
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and GAMA International honor office
| MADISON, Wis. (March 30, 2008) – The Southwest Wisconsin regional financial office (RFO) of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans recently won Regional Financial Office of the Year for 2007, the organization’s highest honor awarded to an RFO for performance excellence. In addition, the office earned the James H. Krueger First in Class Award from GAMA International, a professional association of more than 5,500 field leaders in the insurance and financial services industry.
Under the guidance of managing partner Scott Barth, the Southwest Wisconsin RFO stands out for its achievements in all categories including growth and recruiting. During 2007, the region posted a one-year sales growth of 24 percent to lead the organization. The Southwest Wisconsin RFO also expanded in 2007 with the hiring of six new financial representatives (FR) – achieving 127% of goal– and launched the new staff successfully. Due to this success, Thrivent Financial nominated the Southwest Wisconsin regional financial office for an award from GAMA International. “This award is a tribute to the leadership in this region,” said Park Jarrett, divisional vice president of Thrivent Financial. “Scott Barth really cares about and supports the financial representatives in his region. As a result, his team has proven to be successful and is dedicated to taking care of their members’ need.” “We have an outstanding group of 72 financial representatives that deliver high quality financial advice and service to our 44,000 member households in Southwest Wisconsin,” said Scott Barth, managing partner of the Southwest Wisconsin Region of Thrivent Financial. “2007 was one of Thrivent Financial’s best years in overall sales. We are excited about the growth of the organization and opportunities to help more people achieve their financial goals for years to come.” In addition to its growth accomplishments, the Southwest Wisconsin regional financial office also demonstrated remarkable outreach in the communities it serves. Through Thrivent Financial outreach programs, the region logged more than 830,000 volunteer hours and raised $3.3 million in charitable donations with significant involvement by leadership, staff, financial representatives and local Thrivent Financial members. Under the four-year alliance called Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity, the Southwest Wisconsin RFO led Thrivent Financial members and other Habitat volunteers to complete the construction of 12 homes in the region in 2007. This effort was part of a $24.5 million dollar pledge by Thrivent Financial to Habitat for Humanity to construct up to 346 homes nationwide in 2007. In 2008, the Southwest Wisconsin Thrivent Financial RFO will help build an additional 9 homes in the region. During the tenure of the alliance, Thrivent Financial intends to invest $125 million to increase annual house production with Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the United States. The Southwest Wisconsin RFO has 72 financial representatives and serves more than 76,000 Thrivent Financial members in southwestern Wisconsin.
