Thrivent Financial veterans promoted to new leadership roles
Mike Fuehrmeyer named divisional vice president; Janelle Fuhrmann named managing partner
| APPLETON, Wis. (July 1, 2008) – Two Thrivent Financial for Lutherans veteran employees, each with more than 20 years of experience with the organization, have been promoted to new leadership roles.
Mike Fuehrmeyer, CLF, CLU, LUTCF, FIC, has been named a divisional vice president, overseeing performance of six regional financial offices in the Midwest. Fuehrmeyer has been with Thrivent Financial for 27 years. For the past three years, Fuehrmeyer served as managing partner of Thrivent Financial’s Northeast Wisconsin Region. Prior, he served as managing partner in the Chicagoland Region and as a financial representative. Fuehrmeyer will continue to be based in Appleton. Thrivent Financial has 30 regional financial offices across the country. As a result of Fuehrmeyer’s transition to a new role, Janelle Fuhrmann, CFP, ChFC, FIC, has been promoted to managing partner of Thrivent Financial’s Northeast Wisconsin and Upper Michigan Regional Financial Office based in Appleton. In this role, Fuhrmann oversees 110 financial representatives, manages leadership teams and guides professional staff who together help Thrivent Financial members meet their financial needs. Most recently Fuhrmann, who has been with Thrivent Financial for 20 years, served as senior partner of the Northeast Wisconsin Region. Prior, she served in middle management and as a financial representative in the Southeast Wisconsin Region. Fuehrmeyer earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Illinois State University in Normal, Ill. and is a member of the Society of Financial Services Professionals, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counselors. Fuhrmann earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis., a CFP (Certified Financial Planner) certification from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colo., and a ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) designation from American College in Bryn Mawr, Pa. She also is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counselors.
